Founder’s Note
I’ve never liked conditioning my hair in the shower.
Shampoo. Rinse. Apply conditioner. Stand there and wait. Rinse again.
Maybe some guys enjoy the process. I was never one of them.
Most guys want to get in the shower, get clean and get out. That was really the starting point for our newest product at Standard No More.
What if conditioning your hair could be simpler—and made with ingredients you actually feel good about leaving in your hair and on your scalp?
That’s exactly what we set out to create.
Our soon-to-be-released Standard No More Leave-In Conditioner is a lightweight, non-toxic conditioning spray designed to be used in seconds after you get out of the shower.
Towel dry your hair. Spray it in. Work it through. Done.
No standing around waiting for conditioner to work. No second rinse. No unnecessary extra step in the shower.
And just as importantly, no compromise on the ingredients.
Hydrate. Strengthen. Protect.
Those three words became the foundation of this formula.
I wanted something light enough that you barely know it’s there, but effective enough that you immediately feel the difference.
Hair feels softer, smoother and more manageable without feeling greasy, heavy or coated. And because this is a leave-in product that stays on your hair and scalp, what we put into the bottle mattered most to me when formulating it.
A Non-Toxic Formula With a Purpose
We kept the ingredient deck intentionally short: eight functional ingredients, plus our preservation system.
Three are organic. Four more are naturally derived.
And every ingredient has a reason for being there.
Organic Aloe Vera Juice
The foundation of the formula. Aloe provides lightweight hydration while helping condition and soothe both the hair and scalp. It gives us moisture without the heaviness of a traditional rinse-out conditioner.
Organic Glycerin
A plant-derived humectant that helps attract and retain moisture. It works alongside aloe to help keep hair hydrated, soft and flexible.
Panthenol
Also known as provitamin B5, panthenol helps condition the hair, improve softness and support moisture retention.
Hydrolyzed Rice Protein
Hydrolyzed rice protein helps condition and strengthen the hair, improving its feel, body and manageability. It’s an important part of delivering on hydrating, strengthening and protecting.
Allantoin
Included with the scalp in mind. Allantoin is a naturally derived super ingredient that helps condition and soothe the scalp while helping reduce dryness, irritation and inflammation.
Organic Jojoba Oil
Jojoba provides lightweight conditioning, softness and moisture without leaving hair greasy or weighed down. We use just enough to improve the feel and manageability of the hair while keeping the formula incredibly light.
Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate
A lightweight, PEG free conditioning ingredient derived from nature that helps soften and smooth the hair without weighing it down or drying it out. It also helps solubilize our jojoba oil and Brightwood scent, distributing them evenly throughout the water-based formula.
Brightwood
Our signature scent made from 100% essential oils—deep woods with a bright citrus edge. It gives the Leave-In Conditioner the same clean Brightwood identity found throughout the Standard No More lineup.
Finally, we use Geogard ECT, our naturally derived preservation system, to properly protect the water-based formula.
That’s it.
No unnecessarily complicated ingredient list. Just a carefully selected combination of organic and naturally derived ingredients designed to work together.
